detailed description
This traditional style home was built near Lane Tree in Goldsboro, NC for the Meadows. It was sided with Green Everlast siding, a synthetic siding that has the look of Hardie siding, but none of the upkeep. Stone accent walls on the exterior were added to add texture to the front of the home. Stained wood ceilings were used on both the front and back porches. These draw a lot of interest from the eye and they compliment the green Everlast siding well.
The same stone used for the exterior was used for the interior fireplace which was paired with a natural wood mantle. Building a home custom allows for us to carry similar details throughout the exterior and interior of the home to create a cohesive, intentional design.
The kitchen had two unique features found in the wood stained oven hood and an ice maker installed directly into the kitchen island. The ice maker was specific to the needs of the Meadows and their hosting which is another benefit of custom-home building—your home can specifically fit your needs.
Their dining room has white wainscoting and crown molding around the walls that balanced the final blue paint color they chose. A silver hanging light fixture tied the dining room design all together.
Their laundry room was also spacious and included built-ins for spare storage of linens and other home living needs.

It was a pleasure to go through the home building process with Doug. He is a real professional. Doug was always willing to take time for my questions, and I had a lot. He worked with me on changes that I wanted and made with no problems. When my ideas were the way something shouldn't be done, as I had asked him to do, he gently steered in the right direction. If I build another, Doug will be my contractor. This was really an enjoyable experience.
