Exterior Design

We bring as much care as we do to building the home to cultivating the land it is built on.

We'll oversee the grading of the home's lot, planting trees, laying sod, mulching, edging, and more to make sure that the outside of the home is as inviting as the inside.

Philip & Michelle Pennington

Once construction began, I was impressed by the quality of the work and the skill of the craftsmen involved. Doug’s team worked efficiently, keeping the project on schedule and within budget. They were responsive to any concerns I had and were always willing to make adjustments when needed. The level of attention to detail was exceptional, from the foundation all the way through to the finishing touches.

John & Kelly McAlexander

Building a home can be overwhelming but from start to finish, Doug and his team of talented subs made the process smooth and enjoyable. Doug kept the project moving in a timely manner and was always available to answer any questions I had. Guests often comment on all the extra features and the attention to detail in our home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Want to know some more?

What factors affect the price per sqft?

The price per sqft varies depending on several factors including the choice between a single story home and a two story, the overall shape of a home (a simple square or rectangle will be cheaper than a layout with a lot of outside/inside corners), quality of materials, and how labor intensive the build is.

We factor all of these into the initial quote and break them down in our face-to-face meeting.

How long does a project typically take?

An average homebuilding project typically takes 9-10 months. For some larger homes, it can take up to 12 months, but we always try to shoot for less if we can.

Do you only build in Wayne County?

While we primarily serve Wayne County and the surrounding areas, we are willing to extend our service range further.

We are always open to new projects, so if you want to work with us, contact us and we can talk about it more!

What do I need to get a quote?

In order for us to provide you with a quote, you will need a house plan, a list of specifics that you would like for the interior and exterior of the home, and an idea of the final sqft you would like.

We accept PDFs of blueprints and house plans and can start a quote once we receive them.

How do I choose interior finishes?

Our team will connect you with our trusted subcontractors that will guide you through the finish choosing process. We communicate with them directly about budget and overall planning, so they will be able to support you more efficiently.

For decisions that require specific placement or installation in the home, Doug or a member of the team will be there on-site to make sure everything is ready to go and compatible with the home design.

Do I need a plan prior to meeting?

No, you do not have to have a house plan prior to meeting.

We like to work with clients at any stage in the homebuilding process, however, the more of a plan you have, the more accurate your quoted budget will be.
